When the Life You've Built No Longer Fits

Something in you has awakened. Desire and vitality you've had to silence are demanding to be lived.

Together, we'll use somatic therapy to listen for what wants to be reclaimed—so you can live, love, and choose in ways that are fully your own.

A Knowing You Can't Un-Know

Perhaps a breakup, growing tension in a relationship, affair, family conflict, burnout, loss, or questions about where and how you belong has brought something to the surface that you can no longer ignore.

Or maybe there was no single moment that changed everything. Instead, a quiet knowing has been growing: something feels off. Restlessness, numbness, irritation, apathy, tears, or a sense that something is missing have been asking for your attention. Your body may have known something before you had words for it.

"If a woman ‘far from home’ surrenders all power, she will become first a fog, then a vapor and finally a wisp of her former wildish self."

Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves

The life you've built no longer feels congruent with who you are becoming.

You may recognize yourself here if…
  • You feel guilty for wanting something more or different, even though your life looks good on paper and you've been deeply loved.
  • You're grieving the parts of yourself you've silenced, set aside, or never felt fully free to become.
  • You've begun to realize how often you've trusted someone else's certainty over your own—and are learning to reconnect with your own inner knowing.
  • You feel a growing pull toward a place or landscape where your body feels at home and more of you comes alive.
  • Something in you has awakened, and you can no longer return to ways of living that require you to abandon yourself.
  • As you become more fully yourself, you're discovering that some people you love may struggle to understand, celebrate, or make room for who you're becoming.

A Different Way of Listening

Your experience deserves to be honored and listened to, not fixed or rushed past. Together, we'll slow down and listen for what is asking to be known, reclaimed, and lived.

We'll listen to your body, your inner world, and your relationship—with yourself and the world around you—not as separate pieces, but as parts of a whole. Through a depth-oriented, integrative approach, we'll follow the threads of desire, grief, instinctive nudges, emotion, and meaning to reconnect with the wisdom that's already within you.

From there, insight becomes something you can live—choices, relationships, and a life that feels more fully your own.

We can meet online, or outside — I offer outdoor walk-and-talk somatic therapy in Oakland, among the redwoods at Joaquin Miller Park.
